Elizabeth Svilar

Elizabeth Svilar is excited to start her first year at CLA this year. She was born and raised in Miami, FL. and began teaching when she graduated from the University of Miami in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with a minor in Creative Writing. Her dream was to write for a Christian ministry or magazine, but began teaching and fell in love with seeing middle and high school students learn, develop as leaders and come to know Christ. After graduating from the University of Miami, she continued her education by exploring her other interests of serving youth and the less fortunate. These interests led her to complete two Master’s degrees, one in Urban Studies with a Concentration in Youth Leadership, and another in International Law.  Overall, Elizabeth loves to learn and teach. She served overseas in Spain through summer mission trips and as a Journeyman. She met her husband while training to go overseas and now has three sons. Elizabeth and her family relocated to North Carolina four years ago, and they are excited about joining the CLA family this school year.
