Tara Thomas

Tara is home grown in Durham, NC and has been living in Wake County since graduating from Meredith College. She taught Kindergarten for Durham Public schools for 6 years before taking a break while her children were little. She has had the privilege of working at CLA since 2015 in childcare/preschool as lead teacher, Kindergarten teacher, level 3 teacher, Dean of the Grammar school, and now Head of School for Academics. She enjoys teaching and instructing hearts through the lens of the gospel. She is looking forward to this school year, to see all that the Lord has in store for the students, parents and staff. 

She and her husband Matthew have three precious children. Elias, Garrison, and Hatton all attend CLA. Her family attends and serves at Open Door church. She loves spending time with her family, doing puzzles, and enjoying God’s creation.
