Hope Martin

Rhetoric Spanish Teacher

After serving in Latin America for 30 years as an IMB missionary, Mrs. Martin moved with her husband to Louisburg, North Carolina. She has extensive experience teaching multicultural children from Preschool to High School over a period of 35 years in the United States and Central and South America in traditional and non-traditional settings. This is her 5th year to teach at CLA. She graduated from Delta State University with a Bachelor of Music Education and a second endorsement in elementary education. During her years in Latin America, she graduated from the Spanish Language Institute in San José, Costa Rica as well as graduated from two Institutes of Argentine Sign Language in the cities of Mendoza and Córdoba. It was her privilege to work among the deaf. While on the mission field, she home schooled all of her children who are now university graduates and professionals. She and her husband have three grown children that are married and have nine glorious grandchildren.
