This is Emily’s first year at Commission Leadership Academy and she is so excited to be a Griffin. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from East Carolina University. Before becoming a Griffin, she was a high school science teacher in the public school system for seven years and is looking forward to bringing her classroom experience and enthusiasm for science to the students at CLA. Emily currently lives in Franklinton with her husband, Kiante, and their daughter, Toni. Emily loves to read, travel, and spend time with her family and friends. She is excited to be able to continue her Christ given calling of teaching, but have the opportunity to be more active in her daughter’s life. She is dedicated to inspiring students to achieve to the greatest of their ability and have an excitement and passion for science. Emily and her family are members of the Summit Church in Raleigh where they are active in their small group.
